The Fords' new estate, Fair Lane, was built benveen 1914 and 1916 at a cost of over a million dollars. Although the home was elaborate and mechanically innovative, it was a relatively modest residence for a man of Ford's wealth. Fair Lane was home to Henry and Clara until their deaths over three decades later. | ||||||
